I got a slash 2wd with the brushed system and I was wondering if something was wrong with my battery I got noticeably shorter run time and on my baTtery 6 cells were warm and one was much hotter than the other ,
Are my cells unbalanced what can I do ?

how old are the batteries. iam guessing the battery is going bad. time for new batteries. look into a low voltage cutoff for lipos and look into some lipos also. they are better for run times and power.

If one of your cells is hotter than the others, it means that that cell is going bad. You can probably salvage the pack by purchasing a new cell and soldering it in. It would probably be a lot easier and less time consuming to purchase a new pack.

He is talking about a Nimh pack....I am pretty sure he is not running a 7S (25.9 volts) lipo in a stock brushed Slash. So a lipo cutoff will do nothing for him in this case since he is not running lipos.
Anyway when you have one cell that is way hotter than the others it normally means that one cell is going bad or is badly mis-matched with the rest of the pack. This can happen if they had different charges on the cells when they were assembled. Not much of a fix for it unless you have some soldering skills and can replace the one cell making sure each cell is exactly at the same charge when you re-assemble it.
***HA...damn you Hamz beat me to it while I was typing.:D

Well the battery was only a couple charges old so I cycled it a couple times and it's better now but I am investing in a couple lipos I have the new escs with lvc
