Changed out the six cylinder and installed a V8 in my Traxxas 4 tec 3.0 hotrod

I love the looks of the car but the performance and lack on functions on the controller called for improvements. So I upgraded to a hobbywing max 10 80 amp system. The TQ controller has no enhanced trim functions at all and I couldn't get the car to go at a slow pace because I want to drive it around at car shows. So, since I have 4 different Koyosho fazer mk2 cars I bought a koyosho KR=331 receiver to replace the Traxxas receiver and bound it to one of my koyosho controllers and the car responds soooo much better. The upgrade to the vxl system is not as good as the hobbywing combo IMHO, and the hobbywing is about $60 cheaper.

Well after running the VXL system for a week I must say I'm disappointed in the power. I just put a hobbywing max 10 80w in my Koyosho fazer mk2 70 chevelle and it runs like a complete different car! Love it! I'm buying another one to try in this 4 tec. instead of the VXL setup. Hopefully It will fit in the 4 tec. I think the 140 amp motor would be to long to fit it that space and may be too much power to keep it straight when hitting full throttle. Plus breaking parts lol.
Don't stop there!!! Buy another Kyosho too!!! 😍👍😁

I don't think you will regret replacing that stock stuff AT ALL!!! .

I am confused about 1 thing though... too much power??? No such thing! 🤷‍♀️🤣

I've had that happen. Take some drywall mesh tape and shoe goo it into the areas above the tires. Our DR10 did that right out of the box.

Good idea!
I had plans to speed run a 3.0 truck but never found a suitable tire.
