I've had a Revo 2.5r sitting in my garage for awhile now (think it's been about five years). I cleaned the carb, the air filter, and removed the wd-40 from the engine. I can get the car to idle fine and it starts really easy. However, at stock settings it runs really rich and it's really picky about starting once I change it. I'm not too good with mechanical things so I was hoping someone here could give me pointers on what to do or if the engine is broken from sitting for so long. I've attached a video from the last time I ran it, if you want me to try something I'm more than willing to do that with a video as well.

Video of the car going to full throttle and idling fine.

Your slipper clutch needs adjusting. The nut in the center of the gear on transmission. Take a 2mm hex tool and place it in the metal fins behaind the gear between it and the trans. Hold n place and tighten the nut until you can barely turn the spur gear by hand while holding in place with hex tool. If after you adjust the slipper clutch and it still does what its doing then it could be your primary clutch under the cluctbell on front of engine. It consist of two fibers held together with a single spring. If the pads are worn out it will not engage. But i believe you just need to tighten the slipper clutch and run it!

That did the trick! The screw was barely on there. Thanks for you help :)
