You better get to bed son!
Long ride tomorrow.

I just lost the post I was making, anyway the track opens at 10am for practice, I think it's just Rob and myself so have some patience. I finished the raised pit today with the exception of the paint with sand in it for grip. We lost last weekend due to rain and I was the only one today so I couldn't do the pit and the topsoil at the same time, the roller for the tractor we ordered didn't come in so the track is a little bumpy so make sure to soften up the suspension a little. The oval will be running tomorrow as well so we will be impounding everybodies radios when they come in, you will get the radio back for practice and races. See you in the morning. Oh yeah racing is Free, I forgot if I mentioned that already.

Well guys, I'm back to racing this year. So Ratzo give me a call on the cell.

I'm taking some time off next Sun night....Chris and I will be there next Sunday.(maybe more of us)

We might have a change of plans.

Today was less than stellar, and the track "wasn't" finished as stated above by JB (he said he wasn't finished).
They do have a great staff, and the people that run the place are very, very nice.
The other racers are great too, but the delays were LOOOOOONG, and the track was dryyyyyyyyyyyyy!
They have a lot of work to do.
They have to lay down the topsoil,
find a way to water the track properly,
get the decoder for the dirt track (or run oposite days with the oval track)

We were in time for practice, had the drivers meeting, and it took almost 5 hours for 2 rounds of qualifing, with only 3 classes because the oval guys needed the decoder.
1 monster truck, 1 buggy, 1 truggy.
We didn't stay for the final runs.

JB.
I hope you don't think I'm taking shots at your track, but I have to keep the people on this forum informed of the conditions.

Please let me know when it's all done and you have all the bugs worked out.
Thanks, Ratzo.

Hey Rob - I tried to call you about 4 times. I wanted to let you know I was unable to make it. I had a family party on L.I.

Imbroken how is the neck.My head is still on fire LOL.
Ratzo was the only smart one untill he lost his gum in Imbroken's truck on the way home LMAO

On holy moly FIRE... lol Your head must be sore as hell bro...
I'll have a pic up later... hehe
Smart? Ratzo can't talk & chew gum at the same time... lol
I had a blast guys.. Worth the drive...

Nothing funnier than Buddha putting up a $20 bill on the counter for $9 coffee tab, and me telling the girl to keep the change.

Well telling Imbroken to cross 3 lanes to get in the left during the evening rush with broken mirrors was pretty funny in itself.

My neck is friggin roasted too!

LMFAO !!!!!
It was so worth the drive and the missery of waiting to run and breaking.
I can still feel the heat coming off my head.
Hey Ratzo why are you wetting the track down? We have 2 hours before we run again!
Cut off a piece of your shirt off and jam into the hole on the c-hub.
To many good laughs yesterday

I got an email from Tom Baffer today. This is what he said:

I got this email today.

Guys,

Going back to Edison is a very real possibilty. Possible if Everyone that races lends a hand with setup and takedown. Having three guys taking down a track until 1:00am is not my idea of fun. So if we do move back to Edison we will need your support. I have gotten commitments from several people and I know all of you will show the love too.

Truth be known, we need everyone to help. It makes the race day fun for everyone. In order to get the investors in the Club convinced people are going to help I need commitments from as many people as possible. None of them want to even attempt to do this without support from you.

This year we will adopt a policy from the RAMS Club in Cali. They have a no help no race policy that works. We can throw around ideas as to how and what each person will be responsible for, setup commitees etc...

Also this year, the Club financials will be made public. So everyone can see what it takes to do this. In addition everyone will see we do this for fun and not for profit. Entry fees will reflect what is necessary to operate a race. BARCAR is a Club... You race with us? Your a part of the Club... Simple... No membership fees, we just need to do it together to make it a Club.

Let me know what else you'd like to see happen.

Ya feel me?

Thanks, Ratzo.

Sunday was a test of running both tracks together for the first time, after seeing what was going on Patrick agreed to spend the $2,700.00 for another decoder box and transponders, I don't think you could ask for more than that. We are being told by AMB that our order could come in as short as 2 weeks or up to 8 weeks so we are discussing what to do in the mean time.

As far as the track conditions are concerned we know we have more work to do, the track is maintained and run by volunteers so as long as we get people to help out that will dictate what kind of track we have. Sunday was not an opening day at the track, hence the no charge for racing.

We are always open to everybodies concerns and conductive criticism, all I ask in return is to not just complain but bring solutions as well, the more input we have from everybody will make the track better.

Just to give you an idea of what has gone into the track so far and what we have gotten out of it from a business stand point you can see that we know we need to spend money to make money.

Topsoil and fill with clay $1,300.00
Tractor $9,000.00
Plywood, paint, pipe, spikes etc. $600.00
New AMB decoder and transponders $2,700.00
Printer $120.00
Roller drum for tractor $200.00
Rake fro tractor $450.00
I can't put a total on the labor but it would not be feasable if we paid to have the work done.

So as you can see we are at aprox. 14k and have not collected any race fees this season or paid any volunteers to work on the track, yes the hobby shop does make money but it's there to support the track and if we don't have a track... well you get the picture.

I don't think you are taking shots at the track, Just as I said before I consider everyones input, just as when you came down and helped work on the track that Saturday, you had direct input into the track layout, you sugested we liked it and it was done. Together we are what makes Trax70.

Can I ask why we are having a "BARCAR" discussion in my Trax70 thread?

JB, you have a PM.

JB and myself are going to work together to get things going.
It's a great place with a lot of potential.
Stay tuned.
