Here is an update guys,
Jeff and I took a half a day off from work on Friday and got most of the topsoil spread out, Jeff, Scott and I worked on getting it raked out today as well as got the PA system working better. I put together the roller and started rolling out the topsoil, the roller works nice and the track is going to be smooth as cake icing once we get some water out there.

Speaking of water we have and 11 thousand gallon per hour pump coming next week as well as a 2 thousand gallon tank, I'll be spending next week learning about sprinkler systems so if anybody wants to step up and help out on that front it would be really appreciated. I haven't told my wife yet but Trax70 is getting a sprinkler system for Mothers Day=devil

We will be racing tomorrow, but we will have to share the AMB box until the new one comes in, I've made a few changes in the program that should help move things along faster.

We're getting there, it just takes some time. Also please keep in mind that any updates that are not from myself or Chris (Overbored77) disregard them, we have had people passing around information that is untrue and misleading.

This is great news JB.
Thanks for all the hard work that you guys are putting into the track.
I'm out for this week, and I'll be working next Sunday.
This should work out great.

JB, how did things work out today?
It was a great day weather wise.

Couldn't have asked for a better day, we should have waited on getting the topsoil down till we had a better water situation, the topsoil acts like a sponge when it's wet and retains a good amount of moisture if you can get it down, just not with what we have now so the dust was pretty bad. when we left Sat. night we forgot to turn off the spigot, so there was a drip from the hose all night on a small section of the straight away and that section was moist all day, the amount of water that it got last night was comprable to a good watering from a sprinkler so I am confident we are moving in the right direction.

The racing schedule went alot better, I tightened up the schedule and it was much smoother, there where still delays while the oval ran that we could have been racing if we had another decoder box, but that solution is just a delivery away from the almighty Fedex guy.

Replacing the speaker helped as the oval guys could hear me fart over the PA ... well I didn't really fart into the PA but you get the idea, they thought I went out and put a much larger amp in but it was just a speaker that was bad, it really helped as everybody could hear when they where up to race and I could hear myself as well.

I'll be mapping out the sprinkler layout and get the parts together this week so we can get started on it as soon as the pump and tank come in, btw the tank is 90 inches in dia. by 88 inches tall and holds 2000 gallons, it's a monster, I think we should cut the top off of it and use it as a swimming pool.

Sound great!
Did the wet spot stay nice? Or was it all muddy? (just a question)
If it stayed nice, then thats great.
The water situation sounds like it is moving in the right direction.
How did you start the races if you don't mind me asking?

We did a go one at a time start and it worked nice, much better than a rolling start.

The wet spot stayed nice and spongey (sp?)

The sprinkler pump and 2000 gallon tank arrived this weekend and was installed on saturday, sundays racing showed a moist track as we dumped 1000 gallons during the course of the day. we are still making final adjustments as to where the sprinklers go and we are trying to get the most from this system. The A-mains were all drop starts and the the heats are started from the raised pit in a 1-2-3 style. Still waiting on the new AMB system. hopefully soon.

Hey Chris.
I'm getting updated every week. Thanks for keeping this thread going, and be sure to post any progress. I'm looking forward to comming back.
