I am thinking about racing my Savage this Sunday. Does anyone want to go?

Looks like I am going. I have a blue Quick Shade, a blue table, a blue chair, and a Savage with a yellow pickup body. I will be set up behind a black Jeep Grand Cherokee.

What time are you going to be there and for how long. I'm going to have to bring the family.

I should be there by about 10 AM and will probably stay until about 4 PM. What are you running? I may need a pit guy to fuel me.

You guys missed a great time. The track was great, the racing was great, and the people were great. They ran sprinklers in between the heats and I was getting good traction all day (my new wheelie bar came in handy). I ran my old Picco .26

The only problem was the HEAT.

Here are some pics sized way down for web use. I did not take too many action pics because there was a ton of dirt flying around and I didn't want to risk getting dirt inside my SLR.

nice shots rossb wish I could have made it out there.
I've been dying to get my savy out on the track for the last few weeks just haven't had the time.

You planning on making it back there anytime in the next few weeks?

Ross, thanks for the kind words, and for pitting my buggy. The season is going well, 25+ racers every week. This week was a little slower as the oval
had a 35 car show. MT seems to be the big class with 8th scale buggy doing very well with 8+ every week also truggy has had good entries all year, even the stadium trucks are getting a turnout with electric and nitro running together. The track needs a little maintenance as you can see the sprinklers do wonders for traction but promote the growth of foliage. By the way Ross great racing 3rd in the 1st heat 4th in the second and a 5th in the main, not to shabby for your first race on that layout. We are going to finish our points series, 5 weeks left. Then we will be having a large trophy race, a second points series will follow the trophy race, and then we will be having the SECOND ANNUAL NITRO SHOOTOUT, dates for the trophy race and other events will be posted soon. Hope to see you guys soon
Chris

sorry I couldent make it. I had a tooth problem which I finally got pulled today. one of these day's I'll make it.

No problem on the buggy. I flipped over in the first qualifier and flamed out before I got flipped back onto my wheels and I got a DNF. I did not top off my tank before starting the second qualifier and I ran out of fuel with about a minute left in the heat so I got a second DNF.

I ran in the "B" main and took first so I got bumped to the back of the pack in the "A" main. I was running 3rd in the "A" main and my rear blew with about a minute left. My motor was revving and the truck wasn't really going anywhere so I pulled off the track, got a DNF, and dropped back to 5th.

It was a really fun day but I did not put in my best performance. I will do better the next time out.
