I use the following "trade-in" program to get them for under $60ea:
https://speedhiveshop.mylaps.com/rc4-upgrades.html

Of the 3 times I've used the service, they have always invoiced me and shipped the units without requiring me to send anything into them. I never contacted anyone directly, just paid the invoice and they shipped the following day.

Very important to understand what version decoder your track is using and what you are running:

ok, my local track said it should work, i have one i can try, needing more is the issue

keep in mind that the DP PT's won't work at tracks running the newer 4.5 decoders per my post above.

I provided a reference to get brand new transponders from MyLaps for $60 which are compatible with all versions of RC4 decoders. I may have confused you with the "trade in program" where you don't actually have to send anything to be traded, they are essentially selling them for $60 new.

If your club is using an older RC4.4 decoder then the DP PT will work perfectly fine.

They track owner acted like he prefers them, I took it as the old style would work, I’ll talk to him Tuesday and get back with you

I have a friend who switched from MRT to the DP PT not realizing they were equivalent in compatibility and it didn't work at one of the tracks in our area for a big race event which forced him to go home early and miss the event. He has since bought the RC4 that I linked above for $60 new and hasn't missed a race any any track he's visited since.

I always keep a couple spare RC4's in my pit box in case someone needs to buy one in a pinch, I sell them for $100 to make a small profit and they think they're getting an amazing deal not realizing I paid $60 for them ;)
