my 2 channel receiver gave up so i bought a new one from traxxas and its a 4 ch would i have any problems with the 4ch one or no?

Nope, just be sure to plug everything into the right place and make sure your crystals match.
Edit, i did not know Traxxas made a 4 channel, they do make a 3 channel. You sure about that? Got a pic or a link?

Did the traxxas transmitter come with a receiver? I'm not sure if HPI's stuff works with traxxas stuff...

thanks guys. yea traxxas makes a 4ch receiver but its pretty small its smaller then the stock one that comes with the savage.

Then... I'm not sure it will work. Transmitters/receivers aren't completely interchangeable. I believe traxxas uses futaba electronics.

That's cool that it works! I thought HPI ran airtronics type radios... maybe not? Either way, glad it works for you.

thats what i though to until the guy at the hobby store said that u can use any one at least its 27 mhz

That's correct as long as the freq. matches your good.

yea but idk why but i always thought that u needed the same # of ch on ur transmitter as ur receiver. guess not hahaha
