ok i am not sure if this should be here or where to post it ,but here it goes.
i want to add a momentary switch to my radio for reverse
it already has the little flip switch but it is so hard to get too
i want ot solder in this switch to be able to just push it and it go to reverse and let go and it goes back to forward again ,
i opened mine up and it has a 3-way switch middle being common i guess
anyone have an idea on which side to solder this into???
or if it can even be done?
thanx
rick

Yes this can be done but is a little hard to explain but easier to do

yes middle is common you want to put that wire in the same place on the momentary switch

and then you want to put the wire that is on the side that makes it go into reverse on the side that is normally open and then put the other wire on the side that is normally closed

that should work for you

if you have any question just send me a pm and ill try to explain better

then the switch would never make onthe Forward side....w/ a momentery switch you'l only have 2 positions....which means you'll need to hardwire the forward side to a hot leg somewhere before the switch.....

ummm
i think i will just let it alone ,i didnt know it would be this much crap just to add the little switch
i guess i can just drill a little pilot hole and insert a small screw so to get ahold of the switch alittle better

all you need to do is get to the back of the switch.....there are 3 wires.......find the wire for reverse....take that one and the center wire (on the switch in there now).....tie those 2 to the new momentary switch.....then tie the other wire from the old switch to a +V wire....you will need a meter to check what voltage the switch is passing and to find a wire that has that same voltage as a constant......tie into that one and viola......it's like a 10 min job......what tx is it???? maybe I can find a schematic and show you exactly where to tie in....

I'll look tonight and see what I can find for you....it really shouldn't be that challenging....If i was standing in front of it I can show you what you need to do in 10 seconds......
