i have a revo 3.3 with picco.26 and was wondering about changing the gears in the trany.going bigger or smaller what would be the difference?and would it be worth doing?

Well only options for the tranny gears are:
1. Close ratio= no top end
2. standard ratio= 50-50
3. Wide Ratio=higher top end (most common in 3.3)

Now the only difference is the second gear all setups use the same first gear. What are you running for clutch bell and spur. With that motor I don't see why you can't go with a 17t clutch bell and a 34t spur gear. Should make a big improvement on top end. stock is 15t clutch and 38t spur I believe.

Then get the 17t CB and try it, if still not where you want to be get the 34t spur.

K i appriciate the help.the thing i was wondering was when i put the big block in it i could not use my 38t spur gear because i couldnt get the engine back in.i put the 36t in and the engine is all the way down as far as itll go so if i put in a 17t clutch bell would i have to use a 34t spur gear then.

unsure I would get the 34t spur to be on safe side. I really don't see you losing much on, low end with the size of that mill.

Ok thatll work.to jump off the subject for a sec.my clutch's get going out,the clutch looks good its the spring keeps breaking.is there a better clutch that you would recomend.

MIP is a good one, comes with different springs also so you can try the different strength springs to see what works best for you.

I heard the shoes will last longer.my problem is my friend with a 3.3 keeps up with me.its hard to even oull a wheelie.I'm thinking i need to seal the whole engine

I had a problem with my carb not tighting up so i was told to jbweld it well it broke loose now I'm thing about just using rtv gasket maker

could be a number of things.
1. slipper clutch could be slipping.
2. stock Revo clutch shoes could be slipping.
3. not tuned properly.
4. Gearing.

I know it is a little on the pricey side, but I have not had a clutch issue since I went with the M2C BB clutch kit. $42 at rcplanet. For a sirio 27.
