hello all, I'm new to the site and glad tobe here. i have a jato 3.3 and was racin my buddy, when we were about done i heard a noise from my truck, sounding like a playing card in the spokes of a bike, i took apart to see whats up and nothing jumped at me it freely spins but no damage , put together and drove still has noise progressivle gettin worse ?? any thoughts or plans of action would help, can't let a brushless beat it please help

Check your spur gear mesh and then check to see if your tranny is secure.

yup and if that is all good look for little rocks in any of your teeth in the gears aswell.. I had the problem with a few small rocks..

in the stock jato trans is a piece that changes from 1 gear to 2 nd gear. it is VERY EASY to break it. the solution? 5593x single-speed conversion kit. just put one in my jato, well i didnt my tuner guy put it in, but havent run it yet. now this is just my opinion i might be wrong. that gear box has a lot parts in it, but the installation set is very good.

yes the gear raito is different. but my engine is a O.S. 21tm, means tons of power and rpm. iam not interested to much in speed, ie mph. it might take me 2-3 days to get it put together. iam retired i dont get in a hurry very much.
