Trans case

Does anyone know where I can find a red anodized tmaxx trans case. I am in need of one for my tmaxx build thank. Searched online not much left out there.

I don't think I've ever seen a red one, only in Blue & plain/polished aluminum.

I think your gonna have to get a plain aluminum trany case & have it Anodized red.

Hope you do find one though.

Or you can dye it if you have the gray trany.

Did not know grey trans case was dyeable very nice. Does it dye the same as RPM products. Thanks. And yes Dynamite use to make a red trans case.

Yes, same way you would dye all the other parts. And to get it to shine i sprayed it with a clear coat.

You could also powdercoat an aluminum case in your oven,if the wifey doesn't mind,lol.

Been thinking about buing a powdercoat machine could use it for my ATV parts also. Dont think you could match the anodized look with powdercoat though.

Actually you can, they do make Transparent powder coatings nowadays.
Don't know how much it costs to have it done, or how much hassle it would be to try to do it yourself.

Well, guess they did make a red alum anodized trans. i just bought one. Its going on the FLM tmaxx build, AKA the captain America truck. Heres some pics. Also has RR gears. FO conversion.
I think this case is prob pretty rare.

Yah thats it. Hated to pay out as much as I did but I needed, the red trans for the project truck.

It sure was a hefty price. I've read that some people have had luck anodizing alumin at home, just a thought

I will have a powder coat machine by summer. I have a buddy that has tried anodizing, its not easy. However I have used powdercoat before straight forward, and simple. I used my friends to do my revo chassis. However he sold off machine about a year ago. I will deff be getting the home kit though $60.00 harbor frieght, and yes they work great, my buddy has used his to do his ATV parts. I thought trans was a decent price. Considering a bare case is like $80.00. RRP gears were included with this one. I know there not cheap last set I purchased were rediculous price.
