What tranny fluid should I put in now that it's all done and ready to be put back on the truck? And about the engine exchange, does the engine have to run in order to be exchanged?

There is no tranny fluid in the transmission. Just a little grease will do fine, and the engine does not have to run to be able to be exchanged.;

What's the recommended weight for the oil that should go into the tranny then???

If I remember correctly the manual for the Maxx said to put in a certain type, wether it be Traxxas Tranny Fluid or whatever, but I want to know what the weight of that fluid is.

So will some White Lithium Grease work then? And if yes won't it just fling off and stick to the sides of the case?

Alright... what should I put in my tranny then?

i just grease up the gears with a heavy automotive grease and dont worry about it. the engine can be about as beatup as you can make it.. i think it just can't have like the conrod sticking out the side and stuff like that..i would shoot traxxas an email on that one to make sure though..

Just use auto grease sparingly. Just put a little dab on all the gears and rotate the gears slowly.

The gears are all plastic and plastic kind of lubes itself. It's slick by nature. It would probably hold up just fine if you ran it dry, but I put a little grease on mine and have never had problems.
