I have a nitro rustler and was curious as if anyone could tell me why it drives and the back wheels make the car turn? I really don't see this as normal, but i could be wrong i have looked at everything i can think of but it all seems to be ok as far as i can tell anyway anyone have any ideas though?

The back wheels don't make it turn, but are toed in to make the car track properly.
If your back wheels are doing the steering, you have the body on backwards. :hehe:

lol body isnt on backwards hahahaha i wish it was that simple. but everytime i give it full throttle it will just start to do 360's same tires same wheels new spur gear and new axles what could be causing this

You're spinning the tires. Throttle control is about the best thing for that. Especially with a 2wd stadium truck.

If you just hammer the throttle you're gonna spin the tires. It ain't no Toys R Us special. Hobby grade r/c's generally have more power than always necessary.

so it is normal if you give it full throttle to just do 360's i know it's a lot faster lol not my first but never had this before

With hobby grade RCs, you need to ease into the throttle, or you'll have issues. What kind of surface are you running on?

slight hill but all grass. i know to ease into to full throttle but after i get about halfway i go ahead into it and same effect every time

does it pull to one side after it's moving? do you have to adjust the trim and make it steer to the left or right to make it go straight?

might wanna check and make sure your differential is working properly and it's not only letting one wheel in the back spin. make sure the back wheels spin freely and the tires are not rubbing on the springs, also make sure that the wheels aren't rubbing on the tie rods, a arms, or anything else.

First you'll need to make sure both wheels are spinning. Check the hexes and pins in case one stripped out. It sounds more like it's just pulling with one wheel.

It could be as simple as your differential is too loose. Wait, is that a gear or disc diff? Sorry, I'm not familiar with the truck

yeah rolex i can spin one while holding the other one still.

lessen its a gear transmission

ok so now i can go straight at w.o.t. but i have been through about four drive shafts can someone please help with this lol oh how i got it to track straight is by locking the diff bad idea but it works haha

one of your wheels is probably binding. if locking the diff solved the problem, thats probably what it is. so make sure to go through the whole rear end. make sure everything spins freely. the locked diff is causing you to blow driveshafts

even before locking the diff it was still breaking the left rear drive shaft after about 30 mins of driving like i said i have been through 4 altogether now but only one since locking the diff so I'm just getting more confused by the day hahaha
