Every year I have a few friends that offer to help with track maintainence but when the day comes... something always comes up. Well I started work over the weekend and completed it tonight all on my own. It is not perfect... or professional... but hopefully it will work. All I need now is to have some rain to pack everything down and help with the clay dust. Hopefully the track holds up and all I have to do is keep up with the weeds.... which is a long hard fought battle! Anyway here are some pics.

Looks great and looks like it will be a fast track with the right tire set up.

Thanks man! That is the tough part.....finding the right tire. The track is generally hard with a sandy top. I spin the tires most of the time on throttle.

Nice track Tom! I have been wanting to build a track here, I have plenty of space for it, but its all sand here, wish we had some clay, or other ground that wasn't so loose.

Sounds like it's time for some short paddle tires or time to bring in some clay, LOL!!!!

We have alot of sand here too. It is clay but very sandy. I have fun....but find myself having a tough time finding a tire that works.

Try sweeping the top layer of sand off if that is possible and keep watering it, then try maybe a Proline hole shot in the rear with a ribbed tire up front for a 2WD and see how that works if you have not already done so, just a idea.

What I have here is almost sugar sand, I dont think it will be very good at all for a track without bringing in tons of clay or other soil.

I could see where that type of surface would be a nightmare trying to get a car or truck hooked up on that type of surface.

I've tried the ribbed fronts and they work ok. I will try sweeping the top first before a run though. I have never done that.. good idea. Getting water out there is a real problem.. .but I do have a sprayer that mounts on a 4wheeler... maybe I can use that to get the track wet?

if you got a gas blower, maybe you can "sweep" with that?

I do have a gas blower..... that would be even better! Definitely would have to wear a mask thought. That clay dust is like baby powder!

That looks perfect! I'll be over this weekend :D

Thanks guys!! I would love to host an RCNT bash! That would rock!! It would also be totally AWESOME if Rolex showed up too!!!

Lucky guy. Suddenly I have an uncontrollable urge to start my Savvy. :first_place:
Do NOT say "Awesome".

If Rolex would start the Savy..... then consider the RCNT bash on!! That alone would be worth the price of admission!
