Anyone get these gangbanger RC drivers at their local tracks?
just curious as I had a whole swarm of em last nite running a single 1/5 scale truck on the track and totally cluless.....I mean I almost got hit by these retards like 5 times while I was standing in the middle of the track (in a marshall spot so I wasn't ON the track).....anyway I did the courtesy flip 3 times and then my buggy flips right next to the guys and they just looked at it and then looked at me and then the buggy and then me...Buggy..Me...this went on for a min before I tromped across the track and flipped my buggy...then the truck got stuck right next to my feet and they looked at me and stated yelling to flip it over...I looked at the truck...them ...truck ...them......he tromps over and flips the truck and said some smart ass crack and I smiled and said "do unto others my friend".....I still don't think he got the point.....we're seeing a lot more gangta types at the track lately and I was wondering if you guys were too.....

Most of the kids in my town know who I am and what I do for a living so it keeps those hoodlems out of my hair. Gotta love the badge!

Thats why I bring my 9 to the track

We really don't get those "types" at the track. I guess they "gangsta R/Cers like offroad instead of onroad. What we usually get are the gus that like to do stunts on their streetbikes because the school lot where we are, has a dead end street with no traffic for them to practice.

NO they had the 1/5 scale truck not me...I was running my buggy.....we actually had a few come up on race day and in the middle of a heat throw a T-maxx on the track going the wrong way....then they were on the same channel as one of the drivers.....the announcer told them they had to shut it down and they started giving him poop saying it's a public park and they can do whatever.....they soon left the track but stood right outside the fence and when the announcer started saying they were still interferring w/ the race they started shouting threats of shooting the kid that's running on "their" channel......I thought this was funny since here's a track filled w/ rednecks (for the most part) in Florida, and the guys shouting this crap are black....I dunno if any of you have ever been to S Florida but sometimes I feel like we live in the old segregated south still.....I could see every one of these guys lookin for an excuse to shoot these idiots....over RC cars......if this is the crowd that we're attracting I'll be quitting my hobby in the near future....

I usually get little douchey vandals attactacted to the track, or jus ignorant ass-holes. Like almost every week I come back to the track, there's some new graffitti on the driver's stand and pit tables, and kids go and ride their bikes on the track, but most are not stupid enough to go and fiddlesticks every1 up durin a race, they usually just sit back and watch.... or in the case of my old track, it was right next to a soccer field so whenever the kids were done w/ their games (they were done when we were done w/ our races; I'm usually the last person at the track, always tryin to get in as much practice as possible while my rig still runs... ;)) they come and watch, but what annoys me is while I'm trying to drive, they come up into the driver's stand and ask me a million questions....kinda annoying, but I can't blame them for beein curious...I'm not sayin that it pisses me off or anything because I know they mean no harm, but it's kinda annoying...
But ya, I suspect the gang-banger types to be poppin up at our track any time now, because the track is only maybe 30 mins from down-town washington DC...

our local rc club built a beautiful track up here, lots of racing goes on but of course some no minds will run their big 4x4 trucks over it,because it's built on the side of a hill, they ran down the fence and everything, some people just don't care,my crews and i have been hoping some day we'll be there when they come back, the club owner and racer's are all good friends of ours and we will help them protect their area(i don't race but i like to watch them)it just bugs me because we all pitched in and helped them build this track

Unfortunately I'm not talking abou the kid versions....these are 20+ year olds easily.....ignorant as all hell but you can't teach them anything cause they know it all....some nights I go and just run a few mins and I see a bunch come in, I just pack up and cal it a night now.....I have no problem dealing w/ them but these are like the Escalade driving, Gold toof havin, I'll shoot you before I throw fists kind of people....it just sucks that mills pond is in the heart of the Oakland Park ghetto.....I might be getting upset early on but I just don't want to see everything I do overrun w/ Thugs & wannabees.......Some of my friends are pretty thug but I know they don't CAUSE trouble, they just get in it..LOL......and to those of you who think I'm stereotyping think again...I know who the real trouble makers are and it's not because of the way they dress or talk....

I have run into these characters at my local track they are new to it all and don't have any ettiquete(sp?) on the track. They did get pissed that my XS3 somehow was controlling their rides..... I explained to them what was going on and if they wanted to keep up the "bully" attitude that the local racers would have a field day with em. Then they would be banned.. Sorry that you got an ass to deal with Plaid...

Apparently its a slow day in the "Hood" if there out Rcing. Kinda good to see they have a good hobby like rcing, but they can leave there guns, rags and poopy attitudes at home, and try to have a day as a normal person and actually try to be a grown up for once. Kinda sad. Maybe youll have to bring Msly down to the track so he can settle it with his gat. But be sure to tell him he has his gun upside down so he doesn't shoot himself in the junk again...

Thank goodness for DSM!

Down in Brooklyn, it's not just the "hoodies" that we have to watch out for, it's the "lookie-lous" that bug us. They see you working frantically on your car, trying to get ready for your heat and they start asking a million questions. I just ignore them. THEN, there's the guys that casually drive their 1:1 cars where the guys are running their car off the track, just testing something out. Last week, one of my friends from the LHS got the rear end of his 710 run over by some guy not paying attention.

Needless to say, my friend got pissed and opened the door on him, demanding restitution. The others had to pull him away before punches were thrown and the guy took off.

Awhile back a whole crew showed up at our track and they all seemed cool just did not understand english and did not understand the "rules" I almost ran him over cause he was standing in the middle of the track on the straight. did not see him and then other saw him about to be taken out and yelled for him not to stand on the track - he just smiled... Later one of the guys running a very fast buggy took him out - literally knocked him in the head guy was standing at the end of a tripple which the buggy was clearing with ease and smacked him in the head. After he got up he was still smiling...

Diver you know it.....I had too many issues w/ channels not being marked as in use...it was so bad I stopped using the board too and someone started up on my frequency while I was running and he actually checked th eboard......I couldn't get mad at him even though I had been there all morning and asked everyone out before I started running...after that I decided I needed to get DSM, lucky I got slothy's stuff for an awsome deal......I got nothing against someone into that whole gang scene when they are in the element that spawned it....I know I flip mode when I visit friends in East NY, but when I'm in a place that kids and other adults are Why go there...no need....some of these kids are just taking the tough guy poop too far to the point of just thinking they can take on the world.....I'd just like to see their face when the reality of that way of thinking hits them like a slug from a .45......

That doesn't sound too positive for our track then... we are just about an hour south Of good O'l Washington DC. Our track stopped having money races because it caused too many problems. You would get out of towners come in and want to start a fight with you just for looking at there cars. If you would get near them on the track they would start yelling and screaming that we were interfering with them. The couple of times we have had money races there has almost been a fight or two in each one. So they stopped the money races. At least for now, it is just the same group of locals that hang out every weekend so we all know each other and we get along. It sucks that you can't enjoy your hobby anymore. There is always someone who wants to start trouble.

we dont really have no problems at are track because two of the onroad racers are cops and the druggies try to stay away from them so we have a good time at are track, just wish it was everywhere. pretty soon all of the tracks are going to have to hire security (sp) guards to keep them away. i dont understand why people are so ignorent, why can't they do there own thing and stop interupting our hobby. people are just plain ignorant.

hhhmmm....that brings up a good point st.... I have a friend who's dad is a police officer...maybe I need to get him into RC then when they come up to the track w/ me have them bring their police car... :D
