tq3 2.4ghz battery

Does Traxxas make a battery pack for the tq3 2.4ghz tx? Has anyone modified it to take a 6v rx pack?

i just bought a traxxas jato with a 2.4 ghz, i use 4 die hard AA 2000 mAh. the die hard has a great charger that comes with 4 AAs. i have charged and recharged these, for my other jato, 2000 mAh AAs, they work great. you can get the charger and 4 batts at K/mart. there is two models. you want the older model 9304. not the 3493083, it isnt bad i just like the older one. also duracell makes a good AA batt,1700 mAh that works good also.

Is there a difference in range when using 4.8 volts?

i have not checked range. i guess its as good as 27 mh. just a guess. the book doesn't say anything about range. just got done breaking in my sons new jato. he picks up how to drive very quickly, now we can race each other. iam sure ill bet him, cause all most nothing is stock on mine
