This engine is really sweet and I like it alot better than the 2.5 and have it tuned pretty good but still have alot of smoke.
I'm running just about perfect to the suggested temps (200-220). I do believe that if I richen it, it will run even better and faster and have tried that but the temps get hotter 240-250 (naturally) so my questions is: to you guys that have the Sirio TX .18, what's your temps usually run at and do you run it at or above the reccomended temps?:

Mine normally runs 270-280, and that's with a Nova head. Hot by some standards, but thats where she likes to sing and she does it with lots of smoke coming out of the pipe.

Don't be scared to get that engine up above 250, it won't hurt it.

260 would be considered a happy medium. 280 would be considered the max temp to operate it at if you want engine longevity.

mines running at 0 cuz it still on the shelf at the hobby store.

My sirio .18's hate me. Mine run like crap below 260, and when they wanna run good, they are gettin up to 300 in a heartbeat. the last one I bought I smoked on one tank of gas tryin to get it to run iright below 300  Maybe I'm stupid, or my T-Maxx is cursed... (or both, I wouldnt doubt it)

when i was running my sirio it took alot of rtv sealing and trail error to get it to run right. i even had to seal the carb were the hex plug replaced what would have been a mid range needle. i was finally able to get it to make the t-maxx wheelie on demand at about 230-240 degrees..but even then after bashing a few minutes the sirio would creep up towards 300, and start losing power. I'm still almost sure it has an airleak somewere yet, and so it is sitting on my shelf with about 1.5 gallons thru it, hey at least its a cool looking mill to just sit there lol

Tell them to adjust the thermostat for the air conditioning. It should be between 68 and 70. Keeping the store at 0 just isn't healthy.
