Tmaxx Transmission problem.

I've had a problem with my spur gear stripping out both on the outer gear & also with the friction pegs melting to the washers and melting the center of my spur gear out. I upgraded to the newer style tmaxx spur gear setup w/ cluth shoes rather than friction pegs, still after one run the spur gear is stripped on the outer gears. Any help would be great I'm ready to throw this thing in the creek behind my house.. Thanks in advance

It sounds to me like you are most likely setting your gear mesh incorrectly.

He said he is ruining the friction material too... I'd also check to make sure the brake isn't dragging too. Spin the spur and make sure you don't feel any resistance from the tranny.
