First your problem sound like you have a carburator Idle setting issue. Set your carb so you have about 1mm at idel and brake. You should not stall when brakes are applied.

Set that and then try running. If you have more issues than we can go further into the tuning issue of the other needles.

I'm not sure its a tuning issue cause I've had it for a while and its always been like this just never bothered with it nomatter where i put the needles rich or lean it always turns off and the engine seems to be very hot
i know if u have it to lean it will overheat but even when i richen the mixture it overheats and turns off

and now my glow plugs dead so I'm gonna have hobby town look at it but I'm probly gonna get a jato 3.3 or revo 3.3 because i got this when i was like 12 and i didnt know i had to break it in so i just took it out of the box and ran it so i think that might be the problem

and ill be turning 17 in feb so this truck is pretty old so i think its to far gone what do u think cause i dont wanna bother if i need to replace all the main components like egine and servos cause they seem to be weak and probly the tranny cause it doesn't shift into reverse

With that said, I am worried that you may have ran the engine down to its death. ALl new mills should be properly broken in and than maintained after running. What you have said seems that you may have a motor with little life. Try manually turning the flywheel and see if you feel any resistance. A mill with decent compression will be difficult to turn.

Let us know if this helps.

These aren't Gerbils, where they'll keep running as long as you feed them. These are fairly sophisticated pieces of machinery and electronics, and require quite a bit of adjusting, care and maintenance to continue running right.
Your trans might be a simple adjustment. The stalling might be due to an improperly set idle screw. If it is, braking will shut off the engine, and no amount of adjusting the other needles will correct it.

well it has resistance but is fairly easy to turn
so would u say i need a new truck I'm thinkin jato or revo what do you think
i dont know a lot about these cars but if somone can try to school me on some things i would be very grateful

Well it sounds like your engine has suffered a poor break in cycle or lack thereof.

If you're looking to buy new, I'd go with the Revo. You'll be very impressed with it's reliability and handling.
Just make sure to take your time and break it in RIGHT.

besides after run maintenance what other things need to be replaced like I've heard about spurs and other things going bad and needing replaced
and what other maintence is needed besides the after run

You don't need to replace the spur gear unless it strips. It's always a good idea to have a spare in your pit box.
Other than that, keep it clean and lubed where necessary, clean the air filter regularly, and add a good fuel filter.
