I finally got my TMaxx running, but now after I apply the brakes the engine dies, is this a tuning issue???

Thanks

Tony

Sounds like you need to turn the idle up at the least may need to tune as well

I would actually look at how your linkage is set. I'm willing to bet that when you hit the brakes it closes up your carb and chokes out. With the batteries on take your airfilter off and hit the brakes. If you have less than a 1mm opening in the carb than readjust accordingly. Just a thought and good luck!

If it is closing like that adjusting linkage won't help. Your idle set screw is what keeps that from happening. Your throttle servo is sopposed to hold the slide as far closed as it is set to go by the idle screw when you let off the throttle and while you apply the breaks.

I would have to agree with this. Sounds like you need to adjust the idle screw Tony.

+1 agreed

Make sure your throttle in netural position with transmitter and receiver on then turn your idle screw counterclockwise set throttle opening 1mm about the thickness of a paper clip

Or clockwise if it needs to be opened :p but having the linkage set up so the servo isn't fighting against a closed carb will also save ur servos life time and battery. When ur at idle ur servo should be dead quiet and brakes should not be on.
