having trouble with cornering at higher speeds what adjustments can be made to help with this problem am pretty new to this and not really quite sure what I'm doing as far as setup goes any help would be appreciated

can i assume the problem your having is rolling the truck? lol very common issue with these trucks! if so make the stance as low as possible and adjust spring tension to avoid bottoming out whenever you accerate. that being said this will help but its not a cure wide maxx arms and offset wheel help greatly too

can i assume that the problem your having is rollovers? try lowering the stance of the suspension by moving the lower screws of the shocks to the outward most mounting hole, you may have to adjust the tension of the spring to make sure you arent bottoming out every time you excellerate tho, this is very common issue but wide maxx arms or offset wheel help greatly too. what model do you have?

lol sorry about the double post there the first one just vanished and i thought it was deleted somehow, apparently not

Yeh what he said. On the bottom of each shock there should be 3 additional mount points on the lower control arms. Back the screws out of the shocks and mount them in the holes further out towards the tires. (this is much easier with the wheels off) if you mount them on the farthest one out it may be too low. If so go back in one more hole. This will lower the chassis stance about 1 1/4 inches lower for better handling. I have the 4910 tmaxx with a 3.3 engine and had the same problem. Of corse I'm in the process of rebuilding the front end at the moment and rebuilding the engine as well. But it does sit a lot lower then before and until the motor went I didn't flip it over as much by far.

yes the truck keeps rolling . I have the shocks mounted as wide as possible but still rolls very easy .

Well all I can tell you is your tires are grabbing traction very well. I have 3 different sets of tires for my two vehicles and on grass I have to run the stock revo tread that has the least amount of grip or mine does cartwheels a cross the yard when I turn. You may want to find some wider or longer a arms and maybe even change the shock springs and put a lessor weight oil in the shocks. The maxed in general just likes to roll over in turns.

Shes generally a pretty tipsy truck. IMO I would look into different tire packages with rounded lugs as opposed to the taller side lugs the stock tires are. Or look at modifying what you have:

These are from HPI. They worked well for a while but dont offer much forward bite. Great sliding action but not much traction. Or:

you can get creative with a pair of wire cutters and a couple hours of time and do something like this. I havent taken these off since I did it. They slide easily but the "knobby" digs and gives great forward traction.

i was having the same problem with my 2.5 maxx, i lowered the suspension, and it was still rolling! switched to a set of dirt bonzs tires...wider and not as tall. gave my maxx a little wider stance, and they don't seem have the tire roll that the stock tires did. now when it's gets crazy .......it's gets up on two wheels. but i still can flip it over if i turn to tight at high speeds!

I put a set of 1 inch off set wheels on my tmaxx and it stopped rolling over iimmediately and I usually take corners on the throttle look in to it, it works great.

Where did you find those 1" spacers? I may get me a set as well.

My bad. U said offset wheels not spacers. I need to just get another set of wheels and tires for my maxx and 1 inch offset did it huh?

I have a pro .15 Tmaxx that I just converted to 2.5 spec. I replaced all the axles and went wider due to the problem your having. I also installed the big bore shocks and progressive springs with 30 wt shock oil. I also installed the rpm a arms as well. My shocks are in the middle hole and I really can't even roll it now without really trying. Hope this helps, Steve.

The rims are a 1/2" offset each. I have a set on my MGT and they absolutely help not only sticking to the road but I'm not tipsy at all on that rig. 1/2" offset X 2 sides = 1". There are times where the offset will affect your wheel bearings as it puts some added strain on the balance of your suspension

You are correct, I should have explain that better 1/2 x2 =1". I got my rims from SPI very good rims and very strong. I also have the wide max set up. All in all the truck does not flip over.

Would you turn ur steering wheel to full lock at Max speed? Doubt it. If ur going flat out and u want to be able to turn ur going to have to sacrifice a few of the low speed benefits.
