Hello everyone,

Well i recently got a used Tmaxx pro.15 the original version i believe. Well i have a Question. Can i put a tmaxx 2.5r ? Or do i need to upgrade stuff. Also i have a burned out 2.5r and was wondering if i could return for a new even though i dont have proof of purchase?

Thanks!

Mizael

On the first part, you could put a 2.5r on the truck.. You would need the following;

new linkage kit
engine mount
exhaust header
exhaust pipe

To be honest with ya, you'd be smarter to get an OS CV-RX .18 with the rotary carb. It drops in with the fewest mods (almost none!). And at the $100 price mark on tower, it's well worth it. Cheaper than the 2.5r by a landslide.

Plus, it holds its tune a LOT better. I'm thinking about buying one for my tmaxx coming up.

edit; you would probably be better off using the burned out engine as a paperweight.

I would totally agree with Heartbreak. Ditch the trx2.5 and go for an OS .18. You may need to upgrade the axles and drivetrain, but the .18 is a nice mill.

The O.S. mills are alot better quality than the TRX ones.

For a hundred dollars you really can't go wrong.

as everyone else before me already mentioned, you would be far better off going with the OS CVRX 18 with a rotary carb. It will drop right in and be far more powerful, and hold a tune way better than any traxxas mill could ever hope to.
