Ok guy i havent been able to put up pictures yet due work and my recent trip to mother land (Mexico). Well the tmaxx only goes foward, can ne one help with the problem?

i would say your reverse linkage needs setting.check to make sure the set screw in the collar on the reverse linkage hasnt come loose.and also if your idling is to high it will not shift into reverse

Make sure the servo is moving correctly, and enough movement to boot. Also try holding the spur gear while shifting to see if it idles too high.

Could also be a stripped reverse or idler gear. Highly unlikely, though.

The best bet is too high an idle.

Thnx guys, i did buy it used. What do i need to have foward and reverse.

You will need quite a few parts. A servo, reverse gears, a reverse clutch, linkage, and a few other things. I personally don't recommend it. Reverse hurts the performance, it causes jerky take offs, and also adds a considerable amount of extra weight and rotational mass. I removed my reverse and never looked back.
