i want a new exhaust. I'm running an O.S. .15 CV-RX(S). Whats the loudest and best overall performing pipe?

Welcome!!

Is this a stock tmaxx? If so the Sirio Big Bore pipe will help you out!

Well, personally, the best performing exhaust i have found for the t-maxx is the THS exhaust, but that only works on the trx 2.5...

check out vantage pipes. or pipes from imex. vantage can be pricey...all carbon fiber design.

extreme

I had a XTM pipe on mine and like it. Really gave it a low end grunt.

Let me know if you are interested in the Sirio Big Bore. I have one that I no longer need.

On the stock engine I cannot give advice. On an aftermarket BB engine, the THS is by far by far the loudest I have heard. I have one, NIB for sale, but that is for another day.

The Vantage is really the most quiet and reliable power band I have found for a BB T-Maxx set up. That is what I am using for my race/thrash T-Maxx.

I think the mip stinger works well w/ the O.S. .15.......it makes it sound like a swarm of pissed off Bees......and real snappy to boot....at least it was that way w/ the trx .15 mill.....cheap and cheerful til you get a better mill.....

Awww, Christ-y, I did not see that he was talking about a .15 instead of a BB. Disregard my input then for this size mill.

This is a stupid question but what if i put a straight pipe on it. I kno its going to be loud which i want it to be, but would it be bad for the engine or anything?, idk

Yes, it would be bad for the engine. These engines require backpressure to function properly. If they don't get backpressure, they will run retardedly lean and you will get bad perforance and short life out of it.

i agree with olds ,running open like that is very bad for your motor ,i have run the traxxas big bore blue pipe with excellent results also ,not quite as loud as others but has very good bottom end power ,
the MIP stinger kit is rather good too, but it is going to be a bear ot find now because if i am not mistaken they quit making them but i have seen some around still new in package ,
and please stay away from the so called dual exhaust kit things these guys on ebay are selling ,the are total crap and fall apart ,not to mention ruin your motor too !!!

I've also got one of the MIP stingers... they're good pipes. I took mine off and put it up for sale, because it won't fit my new engine.

Abercrombie, the mill you have is side or rear exhaust???
I thought it was a side exit......if it is then I'd say find a stinger pipe...they are cheap and give good performance on the "stock" .15 mills......if it's rear any of the ones mentioned above will be better for you....personally I'm not a fan of the Vantage stuff.....CF absorbs waves (sound/shock/pressure) and 2-sttrokes depend on the back pressure form some of those pressure waves....seems to me if you want to feel the pressure then you don't want to be absorbing it w/ the article (pipe wall) it's being "bounced" off of.......that's just my opinion based on the older MX pipes made from CF......I could be way off w/ this particular application, but the theory is correct

I have a side exhaust and its tough to find the stinger, i checked eBay the other day and there was nothing. thanks every1

Okay, normally I just stop posting after these statements...today I'm calling you on it...either you did NO search or you are just plain lazy and typed stinger and didn't refine our search...I typed mip stinger and got 3 EXACT results.....
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=mip+Stinger
any of those will do you fine and be easy on the wallet.......

seriously people (not just abercrombie) if you want help and can't do a simple search when you are given the name of what you want...you either need to take some remedial computer courses OR actually try to search it......
