Hey. I just upgraded my savage with a truckzilla kit and i have a left over .21 is there anyway i can stick that on my tmaxx without getting a conversion kit... i know its possiable i seen it on maxxtraxx a while back when the old tmaxx was around. So if any of you old foagies has the tutorial on how to do it id help out alot. Thanks

I think you're lookin' at a whole lot of re-engineering that the manufacturers of the conversion kits do for you.
If I had a mill and a drill press and lots of design time I might try it.
The .21 conversion kits add about an inch and a half to the overall length to accomodate the big blocks.

If u want 2 get that 21 in there u can just buy a bigger chassis but then u may have 2 buy those 2 bars that run under the truck next 2 the 2-speed. If u can do that, then u should replace the stock dogbones w/ all metal the CVC kind would work very well. The end price will be just around a conversion kit or a little less.
It can be done without all that, but it makes for a very unstable maxx. The cheapest and most complete route is to buy and XTM 21 conversion from hobbypeople.net
Although, I could have swore I saw an engine mount somewhere that raised the engine about an inch. This would allow extra clearance when using the stock chassis plate.
There's also this kit: Chassis Extension that will do pretty much the same thing as an XTM kit, but I think you should have aluminum bulks and lower chassis braces to handle the extra length.
