Well I have a Revo coming. Going to be a LRP.28 project.

My delima is that I also have a Tmaxx 2.5 that I need to get rid of. 18 r/c
s is too many. The Tmaxx is a Big block conversion with a RB modded Picco.26 and JP4 pipe. The tranny is an all RR steel gear FWD only conversion. The truck is all RPM plastic and runs fine. Maximiser B/L with Zombies for rubber.

I will need a clutch, header and air filter for my Revo. That will set me back $100 at least. So my question, should I sell the Tmaxx complete or part it. I'm wondering if anybody still runs those trannys and would be interested. I figure, if I get $100 for the engine and trans, I'd be happy with that. Put the RPM stuff on my daughters Emaxx and sell whats left for $20-30. All the RTR's that age seem to be selling kinda low.

I spend most of my time on HPI type sites so I need advice from the Tmaxx experts. Any advice is appreciated.

Generally you get more parting them out then selling them RTR, you can always try selling it RTR first then part out if it doesn't sell RTR.

Yea, I guess whats really got me wondering is I dont see any used 2.5 trannys on ebay. All are 3.3 trannys. Is everybody upgrading? Is my tranny in demand. That could be the difference maker .

An all RRP steel trany is always in demand, I still run a FOC'ed black cased 4910 trany.
$100 for the trany & picco .26 is a steal.

There's 9 of the older 4910 trany's on ebay ATM
