Hi, i am about to buy the new 3.3 maxx and i wanna know what i would have to do t make it a street hog. you know like maybe proline tires of idk any suggetions??????

i would start with drive train upgrades, clutch, CB, Spur, internal tranny gears and than work your way down to suspension, and wheels and tires.

i had my 2.5R revo beat out a bunch of 3.3s in a drag. its all about gearing and suspension set up

First thing I would do is put RPM arms all the way around. The whole set will only run around $40, and it's on the top of the list for best all time T-Maxx upgrades, and that's saying a lot with all the parts out there. When driving onroad you're going to be crashing harder, so I would have those arms and a spare pair of bulkheads in the pit box just in case. The RPM arms will lower the ride height a little without throwing the shocks at too much of an angle which is a good thing. Once you get the suspension adjusted like you like it, I would do the clutch and clutch bell. The 3.3 tranny is really stout out of the box, and it should be ok until you put some monster motor on it. Next would be the pro-line road rage tires or something similar, and then the rest is up to you.

i can't even being to tell you about the thrashing i put on my revo the first few days i had it. all i can say is the guy i bought it from was good enough to give me a whole set of RPM A arms and i installed them. charged the battery, fillered up and for 3 whole days i beat the crap out of it and didnt break not one thing.

i think if i didnt have those RPM A Arms on there i would have been in a world of $h*t if you know what i mean.

There's an excellent article in the new RC Driver (September) that shows the build up of three projects; a basher, a sand machine, and a road racer, all of which are monster trucks. It may give you some good ideas.

Yeah i just got that mag at bam yesterday and read that. I'm thinkin on getting a bggy or jus downgrading and buying a new 2.5. I love the tmaxxs i have seen on Pavement. Awesome!
