I fixed the racing engine, now it will not move forward or in reverse, I held it up un the air and the wheels do not spin, but when i put it on the ground it will jerk forward a couple of inches, but will not go any farther. Whats wrong with it now.

thank You for your help

Tony

First of all I have to ask you If all of your other problems have been fixed, I'm assuming they are but its hard to keep track of what wrong if you keep posting new threads with new problems. Try to keep it all on one post this way we see what's wrong, and if its fixed...

Your last post you said your eng over reved its possible a gear in the trans striped.
It's also possible your slipper is loose. Put the truck down on the ground and spin the spur gear by hand you should feel some resistance and your truck should move. I would start with the basic first.

I would make sure your slipper is tight at this point..
You can go to the traxxas web site and down load all the repair and maintenance procedures for your model, this will help you with all the basics you need.

Check the gears in the box. Look very close and try turn the ones that have pins through them. I'd say a pin has snapped and the pressure once it gets to a certain point is just giving way. Mine has broken two pins...

take photos. replace it and give it a go. make sure when u put the new one on its meshed correctly. needs to have like .5mm of play.. so have it night and tight. looses it up a touch and then hold the clutch bell and try move the spur gear. it should have that tiny bit of play. u dont want it solidly locked on there otherwise it wil just wear again, same if its too loose.

i still have 6 of my original fleet of 10 tmaxx but i sold my 4 least favorite to buy a baja 5b. i have a .15 two 2.5s and three 3.3s along with about 5 engines that all run kicking around. along with enough parts to make 2 more from scratch. normally i would break one every day, thats where all the parts come in handy. but i ran out of fuel and couldn't find the time to go get more, and i forgot to mention that my one 3.3 is all blue aluminum with a roll cage and proline paddle tires. it is a beautiful machine.

My friend is having the same issue with his 2.5R, His spur gear is actually spinning at an idle when the truck is stopped. When he lightly grabs the throttle, the truck jumps and keeps jumping. When the truck is stopped and off, you can spin the spur gear freely in both directions.
