i bought a tmaxx 2.5 for my first nitro rc and i want it to go faster (fast is good) can i put on a new engine?

You sure can, there are many options you can go with. I have a TRX 3.3 motor in my truck and it hauls donkey. Plus it will bolt right in place of your 2.5.

Traxxas also has an engine exchange program where you can send in your old 2.5 motor and get a 3.3 for $130 + $5 shipping and handling.
