Hello. Ineed help installing a hump pack I recently purchased. The lead coming off of the battery pack has a male black j style connector. The only way it will connect is by zip tying the pack to the front axle, forward of the bulkhead and plugging it directly into the reciever (bypassing the switch). This makes turning the truck on/off a very time consuming process

Searching the forum, I found a thread about a similar problem, and a link to a harness used with hump packs. However, it appears that this harness will not work for me, as it also has a male black j style connector, and one red male and one red female connector that appear to fit together.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Traxxas pn# 3034 is what you need. I got one from my LHS along with a Dynomite hump pack. Now the hump pack and harness connectors weren't the same but they showed me they will fit with a little persuading. I left my battery/harness connector out of the battery box so I could disconnect it and charge it. Not normally the way I do things, but it does work I guess. The harness connector to the battery only has 2 wires, 1 red and 1 black, just match then up when you connect them. Cheers!

i put my hump pack in the battery box and used aharness sililar to the ones in the link above. When the switch is off it allows the charger to connect to the other lead of the harness for charging. The charging lead I fed through the small grommeted ( <-- is this a word?) on the top of the battery box.

traxxas part number 3034 is the harness that has the charge jack and the harness for the hump packs if that helps.. its like 5 bucks. and worth it I have these on all my maxx's and i charge the pack in the truck all the time without any problems.... Hope this helps

Just noticed granger said the same thing... that is you option unless you wanna atatch the wires without a connecter but that will end up being more of a hassel then it should be... good luck.
