TLT Tuber...Ramrod

Well here is Project Ramrod. It's a TLT based rig. The idea behind this build was to make a capable Tube chassis that looks alot like my 1:1 Jeep. Well of course it all strats with the TLT-1 Kit. Here is a Picture of my 1:1 Jeep so you know what I'm going for. By the way. This is the first Hobby Grade anything I have ever built. So take it easy.

Here is the Body I used and the stages in painting it. HPI Jeep Rubi.

And he it is all put together. Only took 5 months of ordering, building, changing stuff and testing.

And finally the action shots and a short testing video. All went wel intill I broke an upper link on the front. But the 9ft drop into rocks really didn't help that.

I have since sold this rig. I miss it already and wished I didn't. It lives in Norway now.

For your first "Hobby Grade" rig you did a fine job. Nice work, especially on the tube chassis.

Very Cool and nice work....I would have had a very hard time parting with something I put so much work into...Sounds like you did too...
