Well I guess it's a matter of opinion. I've broken some axle pins with aluminum hubs, but they are 23mm. Also for 8 bucks I think maximizer is the way to go.

I've been running the Maximizer Beadlocks on my rig with no problems. If their hub adapters are anything like their wheels, go for it!

I just always found that the pin deformed the hex after a short while and the plastic hex wouldn't let you honk down the wheel nuts without driving the hex into the bearings and destroying them.

I've had lots of problems with plastic, but the composite is quite a bit tougher. I did use new wheel nuts, but no trouble so far. The wheels have been off and on several times.

So has anyone tried the canyon tires and rims from a summit yet? I know the'll fit as long as you have the 17mm hubs. Just wondering what kinda other issues my arise. I normally bash in the woods and do alot of creek crossings, hill climbs, rock crawling(well as slow as ya can with this monster). But also like to rip some poop up in the gravel piles down the street.
The zombies look pretty sweet, will they glue to the stock revo rims?

my revo, the new 5309 version, came stock with the summit wheels/tires. They are very unstable at high speeds from the factory because they are so big, but a nice balancing job will definitely fix that. Other than that, they have not worn down at all since I got them, even from driving on the road almost 70% of the time. I love my crimefighters a lot more than though.

I can't beleive that your revo came stock with the summit tires. Does it shift ok? Figuring it prolly likes to roll over during high speed cornering. How bout a pic?

yea, the newest version of the revo comes with them stock. Handling was actually very good at high speeds. The tires just wobble a lot. Here is a pic, not my pic, but my truck.

I'm not 100% sure those are the ones from the summit. I thought they were too, but at my LHS, they have a summit with tires that look like those and they have the revo with those tires. The summit tires are taller and much softer than the revo version.

I have the firmer shorter ones on my savage currently and they do really well for a basher like me.

That the stock tires on a revo. Not the summit tires. I have the 5309. The stock tire were awesome but one got shredded while bashing in some shale type rocks. Had some imex "all-t" not bad tractionbut the foam inserts fell to pieces and threw the balance wayyyyy off. Shot theoughthe tire and now I'm running pro lines "big joes". Love them so far. Seem pretty grippy.
