Thats just it, I want it to improve traction on grass. Not sure if thats what it is for. I think he wanted some cheap sand tires.
 
There is another tire mod where you leave all of the treads on the chevron tires, but down both side you cut a "V" in every tread to get a different tread pattern, and I think it would do better on most of the surfaces that I drive on than the one above/
 
oh yes the famous mulcher. I am looking into a set. Do you know if it would fit on the stock rims?
 
Throttle control will also help you. Mashing on the gas does not help. The way the tires are cut help but if you can't control it then why do it? Throtte control!!!
 
By cutting a V in each tread, it allows the tire to flex more which gives you better all around traction. I've done both what you have pictured and the cut V. I like the V better. When you cut the whole bars out, it makes the truck roll rough on hard surfaces.
