What's up guys,
I'm trying to decide on some new tires for my maxx. I can't seem to find the right tires, i have used the chevron stock tire and the imex pin dawgs (soft compound). I didn't really care to much for the pin dawgs as i felt the compound was too soft and folded the tire everytime I turned. Can anyone recommend a good tire in a 3.2size, i drive on all terrain so I'm probably looking for a all around good tire. Also, I'm looking for a good foam insert. Thanks for the help. Happy holidays to all..

I like the sporttraxx tire more than the imex, the sporttraxx tires are 2.8,will this work for the 3.2, and how would that affect the tire, would it make it wider and shorter? @ phins fan, as for the imex, the rubber is to soft, i keep ripping the tires. Have you had that problem.

I go with harder foams so I have less sidewall flexing and it cuts down on pizza cutting the tires. Like most Mfr's Imex makes different compounds depending on what your requirements/needs are.

i wish they were made in a bigger size, somethin like 3.5by6.5 would be greaaaat

IMO, the smaller size of the Badlands is what makes them awesome. Less rotating mass and the fact that they're lighter makes the truck "sportier". It'll seem to handle better because they have crazy traction, and can be "thrown" around easier.

whats the terrain like nikko?.....i would run hard foams for track and or other similar situations, and softer foams for like rock crawlin or whatever,i say the firm foams are a better all around foam

Personally I like the Traxxas Talon 3.8" and run these tires on both my TMaxx 4910 and Revo bonus they are premounted and work well on anything from hard track to loose dirt.

If I had another choice to run it would probably be the Badlands because I run on very loose dirt most of the time. But I have very good traction from the Traxxas Talon 3.8" tires I hate to switch.

The Sporttraxx listed is 3.2 MT bead tire, they do make it in the 3.8 traxxas bead too.

3.2 bead soft compound

3.2 bead Hard compound

3.8 Traxxas bead

The badlands only come in the 3.8 Traxxas bead now, but they are a great tire.

@Nitro4910, thanks for the info. It's such a pleasure when you answer a post, you provide info and always back it with part numbers, thank you very much. @JoeMAXX, I'm going to stick with the 3.2 size, i dont want the added rotational mass that the 3.8 or bigger size tires add.
As for the badlands, they don't make them in 3.2 anymore so, I'm looking at the sporttrax or the proline masher. Thanks for all the feed back guys...

You can still find the badland 3.2's on line in many places. Are those aluminum wheels you plan to mount them on?
