If you're running on a rather packed surface that's dry, look at something with short pins. Bow ties are good like others have recommended, and I know other manufacturers make similar tires. If the surface is deeper and looser you'll need to step up to a longer pin or some type of biting tread. That way you'll get grab.
Now, going wayyyyy out on a limb...if the track is so dry that there is basically no loose dust or dirt on the surface, and the racing groove has been worn in so that there is a bit of rubber laid on it, you may even consider getting slicks or foams. I have seen a few ST racers using slicks on heavily grooved tracks and it's working. But it has to be very worn in or you'll just slide all over the place..
