What are some good paddle tires for snow?

Would a guy wanna run all four corners with paddles, or just the rear.
Savage XL

I dont know much about the savage but i would guess that you would need the same tires on all four corners being as its FWD.

I haven't ran my savage with paddles but I have ran my LST2, Revo, Tmaxx and with all three I ran the Losi paddles, they Don't sell the rear scoops anymore but they do sell these you just have to get hex adapters. The only other option I know of are the Proline maxx paddles but I heard that they were crap so I am not sure. hope it helps...

Well, I've never tried paddles, but I've tried quite a few tires in snow and found that soft compound, large surface area and well spaced tread works the best for snow running.

I run losi aftershock stock tires in the winter on my savage once enough snow is on the ground. Otherwise, I run old school HPI savage tires when it's just a little snow.

The large losi tires help keep the rig floating on top and add a bit of center clearance. The soft compound lets the tires grip pretty good even when below freezing. The open tread discards snow really well as the tire is spinning, so the tread is always trying to bite/compact snow.

In non-snow conditions, I like to run a 40 series type wheel/tire to have less sidewall flex, but for winter, the larger sidewalls help to cushion landings which helps with breaking plastic parts.
