i just got my axial RTC and of course i love the thing, but it seems like the tires don't compress quite enough. i have heard of "cutting the foam" but am not sure how to correctly go about that process. the tires are very soft and grippy, but i think if they "aired down" a bit more the rig would be more capable. suggestions?

:)

Drill holes in the rims first. Id start with one 1/8 in each rim first. Once you add weight to the front then that with a breather hole will allow them to move alot more. I wouldnt cut the foams personally because they are already pretty small in those hammers.

aaaahhhh! okay! i figured there was probably already a hole in them. i should have thought to check haha. i *love* the compound of the tires though... very grabby. :)

And they kinda suck too! Wait till you get some panthers like cougars or leapords, their an awesome compound, very very sticky, so are Boss Claws. Rovers and sedona's arent as sticky but they are basically the best tires on the market.

i've read good things about those panthers. i'll have to look into a set. this stuff is fun haha. :)

Just be sure to always ask here first before making a purchase, will save you money and or time....

Your in cali too, so comps are easy to find around there...

Robmob, you and Curtis are only 2 hours away from each other? Id be at both yalls house bugging you all the time lol.

yessir, will DO! my LHS is really close (in fact, a few of them haha) and so availability is never an issue.

now, going to drill holes in the rims. spent a few hours today cutting and painting my Vdub body. i just went with straight knight rider black haha. and slung it low on the chassis because i like that look. :P

Be sure to post pics.

haha thanks, i will! i'm going to take some before and after pics now. i forgot the before kinda. :D

i shaved the stock body yesterday (it was actually contacting the tires at flex...) and cleaned it up today. i was going to take a picture of the bug body before so folks who aren't into this hobby could see the work that goes into shaping it, but i got excited and forgot hehe. ah well.

thanks guys! :)
