What an awesome machine! I just got done breaking in my savage25 rtr and took it to a local park the following week to really run it. After several tanks of fuel I pulled the truck in for a pit and my wife noticed a tire wobbling. When I got to checking it out I noticed that the inside of the left rear tire had tore itself away from the rubber that is glued to the rim, all the way around! What could have caused this? To much CA on the rims?

Do you mean the rubber tore or the glue let go?

I've had this happen on my maxx with imex's softer tires. Mostly from what I can tell, it's from running a heavy truck on soft rubber on a hard surface. Upon landing, the rim pinches the tire between itself and the ground, which cuts it like a pizza cutter. I have 2 Imex tires to prove it. It seemed to happen mostly on the front tires though. I have a tendency to come down hard on the fronts.

:buggy1: I mean the rubber tore! Is there a medium compound tire available? Do you have links to any good tire sites?

That's what I thought you meant which is what happened to me.

I've watched a friend of mine land about 1000 times off balance on concrete, hard dirt, lawn... anyway, his tires are just fine.

I just recently bought a set like his from Imex. They are the imex j-hawgs medium. I bought the medium, his came with his truck when he bought it from ebay, so we aren't sure what compound they are. But they feel pretty close to if not the same as the medium ones I just installed. I bought mine here. The come with foam inserts.

We both run 21 maxx's which is considerably more wieght than stock. Plus, we have a shiteload of al on our trucks. Pretty much everything but arms.

I've bought a lot from lightening. They are real good with shipping and have good prices.

The soft Imex's I bought were their swamp dawg's or something, but I got the soft compound. The j's are designed stiffer in the center which is what I think helps them not flex and tear as easy as the others.
