Go to your LHS and get some thicker tire glue,
Also when you glue tires you want to pull the tire from the wheel and put the glue on teh inner part of the tire also use small amounts you dont have to pour on the glue

This may help HERE

What did you put the glue on with? A fire hose? You might want to look in to a tire gluer set up. At the moment I can't remember who makes it, but I will try to find a link for you.

ok no prob will do, but how do i get rid of the mess i have made, aside from getting new rims and tires...i am using med CA. and the LHS is about 3 hours away:(

Put all the wheels and tires with glue in to a pot of boiling water for a few min and then carefully take them out and peel off the glue, Finger nailpolish remover works some time

When you glue tires you don't need that paper. What you need to do is put your time on the rim, then peel the tire from the rim and a drop or two in the crack then work your way around the tire. You will NOT get the mess that you just showed us.

well, you do not understand the lack of skills that i posses...i am a square peg in the round type of guy, so yes, the paper is indded neccessary. thanks though.

What is it needed for? IF you do it like said above you won't make a mess like that. Just take your time

ok.....you obviously do not understand my lack of any glueing skills what-so-ever, i was the kid in school who glued his hand to the desk. so, i am sorry that you can not see how wrong you are about my ineptitude. thank you so much for having faith in me, but if i could save my childrens life by glueing two pieces of glue together i would eff it up. thanks for your confidence. also, i did take my time with the last 3 and they turned out better than the first, but not still good enough, and even with the paper protecting the wheels...they stil got glue on them......so maybe your right..the paper is not needed because no matter what i do it all turns to crap. :)

Search around for some tire gluers. I think ofna and venom make some but might only be for 1/10th scal road tires but I'm not sure. what kind of tires are you using and for what application?

hey well look at it this way youll be the only one at the track with pimpin whitewalls on! :dancin: :hehe:

This is how I do mine. I mount the tire on the rim and make sure all is fitted into the grooves of the rim. Then, with tire on my lap, standing up, I peel back the tire on the top just enough to see the groove the bead of the tire sits in. I then put a couple of drops of medium CA in the groove NOT on the tire. I let it roll down both side a little then let the tire go back in place. Turn the tire 180 degrees and do the rest of that side the same way. Let that side dry and work on the other 3 tires the same way. When all 4 are done on one side, go smoke, eat, play Xbox or whatever to kill 15 minutes to half an hour and then do the other sides. Two key things is to use just enough glue to make it trickle down the grooves and make sure you give your self plenty of time to work on this as someone else mentioned.

Now, my first job looked like yours above before I started using this method. Now, people ask me to glue their tires since I do mine so nice. BTW, I am a clutz, I have more self inlficted scars than anyone in the psych ward of Bellvue Hospital so if I can do it, anyone can. Oh yes, I have glued my fingers to my tires too before using this method.

LMMFAO...ya know, at first, I thought that is what he was doin.

actually that's something i dont have to worry bout because there isnt a track or hobby shop within 200 miles of me, so if anyone asks i will just say that they are supposed to be that way. thanks guys for the advice.
