TiNi Gears for LST2

I don't know, is it worth it? Are the gears worth the price?

I haven't used them but they look nice. I sure can't justify the price IMO. Too bad Coach Z isn't still around, I know he had set on his truck. Maybe soemone else will speak up here.

i have them on my lst1 and they strip the stock clutchbell gears so i bought some heavy duty gears with the tini gears and no problems what so ever

Yeah? This is my first time going through some gears and thats only because 2 screws fell out and my motor was really loose. I guess i'll see with some more plastics. If it becomes a common thing then I will. But I don't see it being.

then again i had a 1 piece clutch bell on my lst and it stripped those gears after the inner bearing exploded inside the clutch bell
so my tini gears have lasted through 3 sets of regular gears and for a month on my hardened steel gears

the price is steep but worth every penny imo,i have them on my mega baja and love them.

I'd not get them. It's one thing if your a newbie and haven't figured out gear mesh, but really, my spurs last me an entire season unless something stupid happens, like with yours.

Engine gets loose, CB bearings go out, bent 2 speed shaft... all things that make spurs go bad. These are also things that wouldn't do any favors to the TiNi ones either. They may live through it, but I'd have to imagine they would show signs of wear.

Considering the cost of plastic, I'd stick with plastic. It's nice to have a weak link somewhere that's easy and cheap to fix. They are also lighter, so you don't have much lag getting the gears up to speed.

Yup there's no problem with the stockers......But the TiNi gears are stout. I had them on my LST, and they chewed through a clutch bell screw, I mean completely chewed it up and they showed no sign of it. Problem is the output shaft was bent. So IMO better stick with the stock spur gears. They are cheaper and easier to replace than the output shaft.
