Hi, I have a Thunderstorm Thunder Tiger, it was second hand and needed a bit of TLC. At first it would cut out when glow plug starter was removed, so I ordered a new glow plug and it does the job:)

BUT.. now as soon as I start to accelerate it cuts out, I've read around this forum about tuning ect and it feels like i'm reading in a different language, so to make me understand a bit more than I already know can you help help me identify these parts?

A-
B-
C-
D-

And also could someone kindly send me into the right direction to sort my issue out? Or can briefly explain me what I can do to sort problem out?

Thank you for reading, Alex

Don't touch A
B is High speed needle
C is idle gap screw
D is low speed needle generally but looks like that isn't present with your engine.

Your gap should be about 1mm thick looking into the carb neck, about the thickness of a credit card
You sound like your running rich, as its loading up with fuel, or its too lean and is starving for gas.
Find out your stock needle settings and go from there!
If you look at the stickys you will find a thread with a flow chart, click that find the chart and follow it, that's great for beginners

Its a Thunder Tiger engine for sure, most likely a Pro .18BX.
To my knowledge Thunder Tiger never made a Thunderstorm.
Its probably a Tomahawk ST. Can you post pics of the entire vehicle?

In the meantime, check out this manual. Scroll down to page 9.
It will show you how to tune your engine with illustrations included.

@ Smittyz Well done. D. is the low speed needle (LSN)

Smitty and Nitroout gave good advice. First and foremost ensure tune is right. Set to stock. If it contnues lean out LSN as in 1/16 of turn. If it contnues lean HSN about 1/8. after more than 1/4 leaning turn on either needle and it continues, probably not your tune.

Ihave had this happen five times on five different engines (including this weekend on a vehicle I am rebuilding. Each time it was not the tune. :-) BUT---u ha e to rule out tune before anything.

FWIW--plug (although it appeared good), busted clutch spring, fuel, and tank (twice, including this weekend)
