I'm trying 2 decide if i should get the mp 7.5 kanai edition or the eb4 s2 could some one give me some help on which one i should get. moneys not a problem. Thanks

There is a new Kanai on the Horizon. Either wait for that one or pickup a Mugen MBX-5

If you are looking for the best of the best (this is PURELY MY OPINION) then either get the Kyosho or the Mugen.

Just me.

I second that. So Far the Kanai and the MBX5 are the best out fo the box that money can buy (and it will take quite a bit of money for that matter)

There are alot of other very race worthy buggies out there (GS Storm and TT EB4 just to name 2) just not quite on the same level as the Kyosho and the Mugen. They are in my opinion the Lamboghini and Farrari of the Buggy world.

i have an EB4-S2, and a GS Storm pro (well, had the pro), anyways, i noticed a draqstic improvment with the EB-4 over the storm. much better handling buggy. something to be warned about with the mugen is that it doesn't seem to be near as sturdy as the eb4 or the kanaii, its ment more for flatter track racing. the kanaii is a great buggy, but is VERY overpriced. if u look at the european sanctioned races, u will see that over half the field uses the EB-4, just hasnt really caught on much here in the states. if u can get the parts, i would recommend the EB-4, just as good as the kanai, but half the price. if parts are hard to come by for the eb4 in your area, go with the kanai, its a proven winner.

Mugen not durable? That's a new one on me. The guys I race with have not had any problems with breaking parts on our MBX5's. Also, I had 2 XR's that were sturdy as hell. One of Mugen's strongpoints has been durability.

5 race weekends, damage - one slightly bent tower

VERY DURABLE TO ME

now now, everyone, dont get defensive. what i am stating is that the mugen is much more at home at the racetrack, rather than out bashing. that is where it is happy. if u want to bash alot more than race, the kyosho or the TTr might be worth looking at a lil harder. just my opinion, not bashing your mugen buggies.

Unless you have had personal experience with a product, why would you make a comment about it's durability?

first, this is a fun hobby, please dont get in a pissing match with me, flying - leave the negativity at the door. second, i have seen many mugens at the track, and the ones i have seen break more than the other buggies out there. this may be due to driver error, i was just making a statement based upon my opinion. nothing against you or your buggy, and finally - this thread says kyosho and TTR in the title, doesn't say anything about mugen. if u want to make a recommendation on these two go ahead, but dont derail his thread, based on another buggy entirely

NA, no pissing match here. You gave your opinion and I gave mine. Also, even though I appreciate your guidance, I believe I can decide on what I type.

Since I actually owned a Kanai, here's my 2 cents. It is an excellent choice and worth the extra $ to get it. They handle well, jump well, durable, and have a solid feel to them. Kyosho parts are of high quality and usually last a long time. However, when they do need replaced they can be pricey and sometimes hard to find. But if you have the cash and have it narrowed down to the Kanai and EB4, I would go with the Kanai.

flying - that was an excellent post, adept in knowledge, and relevant to the topic at hand, i wish that was the first post u made, no hard feelings, eh?

I dont think there are any hard feelings at all. But I can tell you that Mugen MBX5 and Kyosho buggy owners alike dont take kindly to any down talk of their rides hehehehe

I'm one of 'em! lol

I'm certain its all good!
