I'm looking for a affordable yet reliable throttle servo for my Ofna Violator. I am currently using the Hitec 645 mg for the steering (which is great) and the standard servo for throttle. I'm noticing the standard servo doesn't have enough torque for braking the car at high speeds. Although it does the job, I'm constantly wishing for more breaking power. Any suggestions-I did a search on the forum and it looks like people are suggesting the Hitec 625 mg for throttle.

If your budget will stretch to a HS925MG you might want to consider that instead of the 625MG.

The 925 has a coreless motor, the standing torque is greater than the 625 (IIRC, about 111oz/in), it's even quicker than the 625 and has a tighter deadband, which means that it is more likely to return to the same idle position every time.

If you have a TC with adjustable brake then you can control it that way.

I use the Futaba 3010. It doesn't overpower the throttle but gives just enough torque for the brakes. Usually runs about $28.
