I ran my Savage after doing the midtank mod for 5 tanks. On the 6th tank my throttle servo just died..Has anyone else had this problem with thier midtank Savage's?The servo was brand new..I don't know what to do..

Hm.... never heard of it dieing...unless you have bad batteries? try some new ones...

Also I"m know expert but my friend had his car loose the throttle servo also when he pulled the gas it slowed down and when the gas was off it would take off. He messed with some buttons on the side of his controller...I"m not sure if a savage one has it or not so I would need a picture to tell you.

send the servo back mark, or return it to the lhs. though if it was brand new, and only lasted 5-6 tanks, i would say that the endpoints may not have been adjusted correctly and strained it to death.

I think vibration got to it..And I know how to adjust the endpoints..I have been doing RC's for over 15 years..

wasn't trying to insult you. but from my side of the computer screen thats what looked like would kill a new servo pretty fast. whenever i mount servos in a nitro vehicle i use the rubber grommets to isolate them from vibration as much as possible, try that if you havent already.

You didn't happen to get the servo wet did you?

If it was vibration, none of our servo's would last. The savage is a jumper. Imagine the shock all the electroncs go through every time you clear a 10 foot jump at WOT. Not saying it's not possible, but I'd think it kind of unlikely that it's a vibration problem.
