I’m working on the throttle/brake mod and am having a few problems. When I go to full brake, the brake lever does not move far enough at full servo throw to engage the breaks completely. I can still turn the spur gear and only feel a little resistance. When I rotate the brake lever by hand, I need to turn it to about a 10:00 position for full brake engagement. It seems like that brass thing that pushes against the inner-most brake pad needs to be a little longer so the brakes will engage earlier. I have the Envy dual brake set-up.
When I was installing the brakes, I installed a 1.5mm spacer between the tranny and the inner-most brake pad. The problem is there is too much slop between the brass thing and the inner brake pad with the spacer installed. Without the spacer, the inner rotor would sometimes get hung up on the inner edge of the HB brake hex. I haven’t seen any other posts about this problem so I must have something set up wrong. Any suggestions??
