Hello folks...

Does anyone make a carburator for the Revo that isn't composite? I do have to learn how to tighten things down with out over torquing them but it just seems way to easy to strip out the treads on the darnd thing.

I had turned down the HSN before I put the Revo up for the winter and when I tried to open it back up the whole assembly unscrewed. When I retightened the assembly bottomed out and I felt a little give. I loosened and retightened after that but now I am worried that after some hard running it will loosen up. My LHS mentioned putting some RTV on the threads but I am still a little worried.

There are 2 os carbs that I know of that fit. They both come from the OS TM, one is a slide carb and the other is a rotary. I'm not 100% sure on the numbers but these come to mind....10j and 10i. Check on towerhobbies web site and you'll get the answer your looking for. Just to let you know they are about $80 each.

I want to say I tried a OS 10D when I had a t-maxx. I did it to help performance/tuning... it didn't really help either one. But it made my $120 engine instantly become a $180 engine. Then the King Head I bought made it a $230 engine... then it ran poorly and hot.

I ended up replacing it with a savage...

Yep, it was a 10D: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCA07&P=7
I paid $60'ish for it at my LHS.

Which... sad to say has almost been replaced by my revo. Poor savage just sits on the shelf waiting for me to buy the right shock springs... whine whine... wimper...
