Hey guys, just got an order of 3 bottles of Threadlock. Do you have to refrigerate this for longer shelve life. It sounds funny but the guy at the hobbyshop said to do this. Has anyone heard of doing this. I don't have any idea what the shelve life is on this stuff.

I personally have never heard about refrigerating the stuff, but scientifically speaking.... keeping the stuff cold could keep the threadlock from separating... ie all the liquid from going to the top and the solids to the bottom. I don't know. I am interested in hearing some responces.

I've never refrigerated the stuff. I've kept open bottles on my bench for a week without any problems.

i never heard of the either. i keep mine on a shelf and they stay ok. they still act the same as if i just got it.

Yeah, I have never had problem one with threadlock either.

I too had some in my rollaway for over a year, but just shook it up and was fine. The cap was on tight but a little separation set in on top, but still used it. Worked fine. Just curious, It sounded funny, Just had to ask.

Doesn't hurt to ask. I've got one bottle that doesn't even have a cap, my dog chewed it up when I accidentally knocked it off the bench one day. I just give it a little shake before using it.
