So i smashed the hell out of my trophy and did a proper number on the front shock tower. A few screws dissappeared which ihave on order as well as the other parts. What i want to know is, when I'm using thread lock is it ok to use the stuff that mechanics use or is rc thread lock specfic?

It was mighty fun beating the hell out of the trophy. Videos and images of the carnage to follow soon!!

Yeah I agree with above. I always use blue or green. Pretty rare will you need the red thread lock.... Too tough to get apart. Black lock.....never get that stuff apart.

I've been using the Loctite Quickstix (blue) for the last several years and love it! It's much cleaner and easier to apply loctite and you don't have to worry about spilling it if you knock it over.

Do you have a link woodie so i can be sure I'm getting the right one?

I didn't even know they had anything stronger than red locktite, black must be like cold fusion:whhooo:

I bought a stick from Fast Eddy's store and have been using it for quite a while. I like it because it doesn't make a mess in my pit case or work area.

i have been using RED locktite on motor mount bolts for years & have NEVER had a hard time removing them (don't trust blue in critical spots cause i've had them loosen). just my experience
