I read this post, I don't know why I didn't take the opportunity to bitch about the weather here.

I can sum up the past 3 weekend with three simple words. RAIN RAIN and MUSH. I want to run my buggy on the local track. Memorial day weekend it rained. The weekend after, it rained. This past weekend, the sun was out but when I got to the track, it was a fruggen swimming pool. This sat, I'm gonna call and find out if they are racing before I make the 1/2 hour drive just to drag my sorry butt home again.

Okay this sux.......for the THIRD time in a row, i had a race last night, and it was nasty outside. we decided to race anyway. well coming around a corner, my RX got a il too wet. bubye. thank god for failsafes. all is okay, but i have a fried steering servo, i think. after it dries out today ill test everything again.

I HATE RAIN!!!

This sunday is still up in the air, but even if it's sunny and dry as heck, it's father's day and I don't think I'll be allowed at the track anyway. I'm so whipped...

I'm starting to thing the track is like a mirage. I can see it; I just can't touch it.

As for the RX, i had it wrapped, and in a sealed box. I'm hoping its just the servos, and not the RX, either way, both are expensive. the steering servo is 65.00 and the DCX rcv i use is 70.00

It wasn't really raining anymore when we raced, but i think the tires spit up some water on the track, and it got into everything. 3 other cars went haywire also, when shot out at WOT into a curb, cracked his engine block!

Lessons learned the hard way. I knew not to run, but i was having massive RC Withdrawl.

LOL. It is bone dry here. Of course I am waiting for a few parts so I have everything tore apart. If you have a garage you could go in there and at least start her up and rev the engine a little so you can get your nitro fix.

mcvickj, the garage thing cracked me up. I have to admit. I did that once. I don't have a garage, but I have a screen porch where we keep the garbage and stuff. After wrenching on my R/C, I was pissed I couldn't test out my work. So, I fired it up, let it idle and looked out at the rain with a sad face.

That mystical, mirage-like track experience has alluded me yet again. Last Sunday was father's day. I did the right thing and did not go to the track (even though it was the first race day in over a month). There is always this Sunday, right? Nope. More rain.
